After the sound of her heels couldn’t be listened anymore, the Doctor nodded, taking a deep breath and looking around the room. He was trying to gather the bit of courage inside him, and such task was hard knowing the pain of the process. Knowing that his TARDIS was going to be lonely, thrown in some desert place, gathering dust. So many wonders she could show him, so many places he was abl to see because of his girl; and he was obliged to throw it away in order to protect Clara and avoid that the Family would get his box.

He ran his hand through the console slowly, a sad smile on his face. After taking a deep, scared breath, the Doctor started to do what he had to. He put the iron helmet on his head, plugged in all the wires and pressed the button closing his eyes.

A staggering pain took place in all over his body, coming from all and every cell of his being. It was like they were being ripped apart all at once. The Time Lord tried, put he wasn’t able to stop himself from screaming, shouting as loud as he could while he was dragging himself toward the unconsciousness, until there was no escape, no way out.

—- Until the Doctor was gone.
