“Thank you,” Rose replied, letting out a sigh of relief. After settling back on the sofa, she continued to read her book, occasionally having a sip of the coffee. However, the more she drank, the heavier her eyes became. The words on the pages became a jumbled blur, and she put the book down, shaking her head and trying to clear her vision.

No! She couldn’t be falling asleep, could she? She’d tried so hard to stay awake, and was perfectly fine before drinking the coffee. The coffee. Something made her stand up, and pick up the drink to inspect it. The Doctor wouldn’t do that, would he? Surely not. To her horror, she was right, as despite her blurred vision, she was able to see a white grainy sort of powder. But her body couldn’t handle it anymore. She found herself floating, floating until she hit the sofa, and her eyes closed into a ‘fitful’ sleep.

He waited the needed minutes and walked back to the room, a smile on his head. Bingo. The Doctor put the cup back on its place, not caring about the stain the coffee let on the sofa, and took Rose up on his arms as carefully as he could; a caring look on his eyes as they caught her calm expression.

The Doctor walked up to her bedroom, and put her in the bed, taking a few blankets and making sure she would be comfortable when waking up. A satisfied smile had taken place upo his features and he looked around the room, taking a deep breath. Reluctant steps lead him toward the door, but before getting out the Doctor had noticed a notebook left under a pillow. Like she had tried to hide it, unsuccessfully. Should he have it a look? Well, it wouldn’t hurt. And she didn’t even would know.

So he sat in the bed, taking it and opening in the last written pages. But what he saw was something that made a frown grow up on his face. Those were descriptions of… was she dreaming all those things? Ooh.

Blimey." He closed his eyes and hit his head in the wall as realisation came. That was why didn’t didn’t want to sleep. She didn’t want to come back to all that darkness, and he had just obliged her to come back. Stupid, stupid, Doctor. Concerned eyes went to the blonde next to him as he tried to figure out what to do.
