Looking at his reflection in the mirror, all the Doctor could see was regret. Actually, that was a pretty common feeling for him; he was the man who regrets, after all. But not this time. He was going what he wanted for once, even if it wasn’t the right thing to do. Being that Last of the Time Lords should have its advantages; it was time for the Laws of Time to obey him.
And that was the reason he landed on Earth again, XXI century, London. Coal Hill, the school where the woman that changed his life teaches English. And the Doctor just couldn’t wait to see her. It seemed like the classes were over, because the children were walking although the corridors, coming from all the imaginable places. But he made his way through them, getting to her class. The Time Lord knocked three times – his usual knock – and didn’t wait for a reply to open the door.

And it was then he saw them.

Clara and some other guy— in a really close and romantic moment.

He opened his mouth in an expression of shock, not caring to hide the pain stamped on his eyes. Stepping back, he nodded and let out a breath with an apologetic smile, hushing to hold the knob to close the door again.
