Prison Break Outs and Flirting

womanwhomarriedthedoctor:

She gave him a taunting look. “Once you’re older the compliments get better and more flattering than just ‘nice’. But for now it’ll do.” River laughed. She did a little twirl just for fun before walking up to him. “Perhaps by the end of the night I’ll get you to blush.” she winked before giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek.

River swiftly made her way along the corridors and back into the console room. She waited for him, running her hands along the console gentle with a smile as the TARDIS thrummed happily. She remembered the first time she met the old girl. Shot her. But the TARDIS easily forgave her.

She smiled at the memory and patted the console. “You better be taking good care of him when I’m not here old girl. You know how he gets when he alone…..” She sighed softly as she waited for him, lost in her thoughts.

Okay, the kiss was unexpected. And he didn’t know why it got to him in such way, since it was just a kiss on the cheek; but yet, this was different. Perhaps because this woman was his future, and a person very close to him, if his theories were right.

He didn’t say anything before she left the room, but he did blush. His hands went to the place where her lips where for a moment and he went on deep thinking, stopped in the middle of the closet with a frown.

No idea of how much time passed, but soon - after recovering himself - he made his way back to the console room. The Doctor straightened his black bowtie and offered the crook of his arm to her.

“Well then, River Song… shall we?”
