wolfofthevoid:

Considering him, the Wolf ‘sat’ on her haunches facing him.  ~Not deliberately, it is more or less a side affect, especially when I first enter a universe.   As I attune myself, things should react, less.~   Humor laced through her mental tone as she addressed him.  ~It generally helps weed out the bor-ing and those most likely to be uncomfortable in my presence since they tend to run away.   But not you, you are different.  I like different.~

As she spoke, her energy started to contract down around her, and her form shrank slightly.   Picking her head up, Wolf looked around clearly somewhat surprised.  ~That, normally doesn’t happen this quickly, there must be something different about this place.~  Surprise and excitement broadcasted with her words.

~And you can hear me, who are you?~

The Doctor stood where he was, didn’t move. Just listened. Kept his mind blank as its words resounded in his head. What was this creature? Its energy wasn’t something he was used to, it seemed different. Actually, it reminded him the energy inside the TARDIS, he reason he regenerated to this body. It left the same acid trace in the air around it, and it made a slight chill go down his spine.

“Well, I tend to like the ordinary. Different isn’t always nice. The ordinary can be as surprising as the different, and that’s something.” If he was different then, what was it? His eyebrows arched in curiosity when her energy flickered around her. It could be the rift interfering, or perhaps even the TARDIS. His head was starting to work on a few theories of what was this wolf in front of him.

“I’m the Doctor. Just the Doctor. And who are you?”
